Laura von Bongard was born in Kassel and grew up in Ostholstein, directly on the Baltic Sea.

Laura´s stage name "von Bongard" originates from the family of her great-grandmother.

As daughter of a dance teacher and a circus arts instructor, Laura was introduced to the performing arts at any early age. She made her first performance in public as early as 8 years old.

Her greatest passion was artistry and so from 2005 to 2009 Laura von Bongard decided to study to become a national certified artist at the National Ballet School in Berlin and the School for Artistry/Germany.

There she learnt the different genres of artistry, such as trapeze, tightrope, juggling, equilibristics and floor jumping. Furthermore, Laura was instructed in classic and modern dance during these four years.

Soon Laura discovered her enthusiasm for the art of foot juggling, where she uses her feet instead of her hands. And Laura von Bongard has perfected this precise body art for herself and by herself.
